The Laurel Studios - Fine Glass Arts and Mosaics
Laurel Studios News! 2008
December, 2008:
Glenn Krum will be exhibiting his exciting "Leaning Oaks" glass art at the Rockport Center for the Arts Members' Show. The show will open on December 6.
"Leaning Oaks" is a two foot by four foot piece of fused glass on a custom designed steel display frame.  It is unusual and difficult to produce fused glass in this large size, but Glenn has had this desire to create the work for three years.  Traditional fused glass techniques as well as the painstaking "painting with light" were employed. "Painting with Light" is a technique employing ground glass and even powder-sized granules of glass to create the art to be fused.
